Managing a Project effectively to meet the desired outcome is the easiest way to see Project Management.
But let’s talk about Project first:
A project is a series of tasks that need to be completed to reach a desired outcome.
Reaching that desired outcome involved some vital processes, like collaboration and mindful planning that keeps the project on track and within budget. The act and application to reach this desired outcome is Project Management.

Hence What is Project Management:

Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet the project requirements and achieve the desired outcome.

Project management is practically valuable to every business, it helps ensure that a project delivers the expected outcomes, both on time and within budget.

The core processes in Project Management involve, Planning, Organizing, Budgeting and Maintaining Strong Communication, we will discuss more about this in later series.

According to recent research by Project Management Institute, poor project management can lead to 48 per cent of projects missing delivery dates, 43 per cent missing budget targets, and 31 per cent failing to meet an organization’s goals.

Sometimes, many project managers are described as “program managers,” if they manage multiple projects for specific products, teams, or programs.

This is why a project manager is a prerequisite to being a program manager, you must be able to have vital skills in managing projects to become a program manager.

If you search for a program management course on MOOC, what will mostly show up are Project Management courses, passing a straight message to you on how project management skills are vital and required.

Finally,
In project management, you are expected to have a genuine personal passion for bringing people together and getting everybody on the same page to move towards the same goal.

Whether all you need to do is to convince all your four friends to show up at the GYM twice a week consistently to keep fit or whether you get to organize a holiday by bringing your friends together or resolve conflict or work on an idea and collaborate on projects on the side together.

You got this! Just know you are on your way to being an amazing Project Manager.

Thank you!
